School Boards of Education
School Board members may not have any information about the importance of creating safe, restorative environments since they are community members and not necessarily educators/community workers. They need to know what helps students succeed and the importance of creating safe, engaging and restorative environments. To that end, there are a variety of ways in which Boards can be educated and supported:
- Presentations on Bullying, School Safety, School Climate, Bullying, Restorative Practices, Equity and/or Trauma
- Reviewing Bullying/School Climate/Restorative District Policies
- Introduction of helpful and more progressive Bullying/School Climate/Restorative Policies
- Workshops on any/all of these topics
